Validation Chest

Nickname for the chest that appears after Moldorm is defeated in Ganon’s Tower. Presumably named because it’s the final item-bearing chest that appears in the game, so there’s potential that it could contain that one non-essential item the runner may have been looking for, like the 4th sword upgrade or Pegasus Boots.

Chat likes it when one of the runners checks the Validation Chest and will usually declare the run as “validated” if a runner checks it. However, since the Validation Chest will never contain a go mode item (save for Silvers though it’s very rare, and many racers have no problem defeating Ganon without them) any runner can be excused for bypassing this chest to save time.
