Rederang, Redmerang

Nickname for the Red Boomerang, or Magic Boomerang. Not considered a Go Mode item, but can be used by skilled runners to collect distant items, stun enemies, or hit switches with a bit of a delay.

Unlike in Vanilla aLttP, both the Blue and Red Boomerangs can be collected and switched back and forth from the menu using the Y button. The Redmerang has a longer reach than the Bluemerang, making it the preferred Boomerang in most cases. However, the Redmerang has a bad habit of lagging the game, meaning it should only be used in certain controlled situations during a race.
