Pedestal Check

Refers to the act of checking what item is contained on the Pedestal or ped as it’s sometimes called by using the Book of Mudora. If a runner were to collect three pendants and pull the item on the pedestal without first checking what’s there with the Book, this would be known as a Blind Pedestal Pull.

Performing a Pedestal Check early on in a run can reassure a runner that the seed is not a Pedestal Seed which can potentially save them from having to spend time killing pendant bosses. However, a runner may still have a need to kill a pendant boss if they’re searching for dungeon items.
